30GWh solid-state battery industry project settled in Beihai

According to Beihai Daily news, recently, the signing ceremony of the 2024 Private Enterprises to promote Guangxi high-quality Development Conference was held in Nanning, and 52 investment projects were signed on the spot, involving new metal materials, green chemical industry, food processing, biomedicina, new energy and other fields.
Among them, Zhongsen 30GWh high-performance sodium-ion battery project officially settled in Tieshangang District, Beihai City, Guangxi, with a total planned investment of 10 billion yuan, and is expected to start construction in February 2025.
The project is invested and constructed by Fujian Zhongsen Carbon Investment New Energy Technology Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as: Zhongsen Carbon Investment), which intends to build a "10 billion" solid sodium ion industrial park. The project is divided into three phases, the first phase investment of 1 billion yuan, the annual design and production of 12,000 tons of sodium ion electrolyte anode material, 10,000 tons of high-nickel ternary precursor, hard carbon anode material 100 tons, after reaching the expected annual output value of 2.328 billion yuan, annual tax revenue of 307 million yuan; Phase II investment of 3 billion yuan, the annual design and production of 10GWh battery; The third phase of investment of 6 billion yuan, the annual design and production of 30GWh battery. After the completion of the project, the North Sea will become one of the important production bases of sodium-ion batteries in China and even in the world.
Data show that Zhongsen Carbon Investment was founded on July 17, 2024, the legal representative Zhong Guiying, registered capital of 33 million yuan, is a wholly-owned state-owned enterprise Fujian Juneng Technology Co., LTD. Zhongsen Carbon Investment has a wide range of business, covering new energy power equipment sales, emerging energy technology research and development, electronic special materials research and development and other fields.
The company noted that the above project was registered in the Development and Reform Bureau of Tieshangang District, Beihai City, Guangxi Province, on October 14, 2024, and will build supporting facilities including cell production workshops, chemical workshops, and PACK workshops.
