A major expansion of lithium-ion battery production!
On the evening of September 9, lithium giant Yiwei lithium (300014.SZ) announced that the company will issue convertible bonds to raise funds of 5 billion yuan, after deducting the issuance costs, the net proceeds are intended to be invested in 23GWh cylindrical lithium iron phosphate energy storage power battery project, 21GWh large cylindrical passenger car power battery project. The announcement shows that by the end of 2023, the lithium battery capacity of Yiwei lithium energy is 84GWh, it is expected that by 2025 the company commissioned projects to release capacity 126GWh, the sum of the existing capacity and the new release capacity will reach 210GWh, that is, within two years, the capacity will be expanded by a factor of about two. In addition, the company also expects that by 2027, the sum of the existing capacity and the newly released capacity will reach 328GWh, which means that the capacity will be expanded by about 3 times in 4 years.
