The characteristics of PET protective film
1.It features excellent physical and chemical properties, dimensional stability, transparency and recyclability, and can be widely applied in magnetic recording, photosensitive materials, electronics, electrical insulation, industrial films, packaging decoration and other fields.
2. It is relatively hard in texture and quite scratch-resistant.
3. Generally, PET protective films rely on electrostatic adsorption and can be reused.
4. The price of PET protective film is higher than that of PVC. Generally, when high-end digital products leave the factory, a layer of PET protective film is pasted on the surface of the product to provide protection.
5. With the development of special functional films, new applications for polyester films are constantly emerging. It can be produced into mobile phone LCD protective films, LCD TV protective films, mobile phone keys, etc.
The difference between -02-PET protective film and ordinary protective film
Ordinary PET protective film is made by coating pressure-sensitive adhesive on one or both sides of PET (polyester film) as the base material.
Features:
1.Temperature resistance, heat resistance, no pollution, no residue of glue, and aging resistance;
2. The adhesive layer has good transparency, is easy to stick and easy to peel off.
3. The base material has good strength and is convenient for secondary processing.
4. During deep processing or bending processing, the product has good holding force.
Purpose:
Due to its relatively low cost, it is a commonly used packaging material, mainly applied to the surface protection of nameplates, film light-transmitting panels, instrument panels, household appliances, and fireproof boards for household kitchenware.
PET silicone protective film is made by coating one side of PET (polyester film) with silicone and then adhering it to a release film.
Features:
1.Using a silicone composite layer as the adhesive can prevent the formation of bubbles, thus having a good exhaust effect.
2. The surface has undergone special processing to be scratch-resistant and wear-resistant.
3. The surface of the protective film is smooth and flat, and the transparency of the product can reach over 90%.
4. It has excellent heat resistance and good holding power, and can automatically adhere to the surface of the object to be adhered.
Purpose:
Due to the high cost of the finished product, it is mainly used in high-end mobile phone screens, liquid crystal displays, etc.
Ordinary PET mobile phone protective film is: high transparency, anti-dirt, easy to stick and tear. The disadvantages are: average scratch resistance, cannot be reused, and does not have an automatic exhaust function. Therefore, the cost of this kind of protective film is relatively much lower, and the finished PET mobile phone protective film made from it is also sold relatively cheaply, which is often referred to as low-end products.
High-end PET protective films are different. Due to their relatively high cost, they are often much better than low-end products in terms of material selection and manufacturing processes. The transparency and clarity are also much higher, and the anti-scratch effect is also very good.
Does PET screen protector affect the heat dissipation function of the product? Most electronic product screens use PET screen protector. PET films specifically used for screen protector include: PET protective films, PET frosted protective films, PET anti-scratch protective films, PET silicone protective films, etc. Then, will these screen protective films affect the heat dissipation function of the product and thus shorten the service life of the product? I think this is the problem that every consumer is most worried about.
According to the use of mobile phone screen protectors and TV LCD screen protectors, it can be seen that the heat dissipation part of the mobile phone is mainly concentrated on the back cover, and the screen protector has no impact at all. The computer screen protector does not affect heat dissipation because the heat dissipation mainly occurs through the heat dissipation holes at the bottom and sides, and the keyboard area also bears part of it. The laptop screen does not emit much heat, and the heat generation mainly comes from the CPU and graphics card. Secondly, screen protectors also have certain heat transfer performance and can dissipate heat. In cases like this, I believe everyone already has an answer in mind about the protective film.
Just like some other electronic product screens, the principle is the same. The product screen itself does not carry too many heat dissipation parts, so applying a screen protector film will not affect the service life of the product.
Does PET protective film need to have the characteristic of high-temperature resistance? This needs to start with the uses of PET protective film.
The application fields of PET protective film
1. Protection for various lenses and screen projects.
2. Anti-scratch protective films for various electronic products.
3. LCD touch screen, film window, printed film.
4. Applications such as membrane switches and membrane panels (instrument panels, home appliance panels).
PET protective films for these purposes need to be stamped, die-cut and formed in a high-temperature environment when in use. Therefore, they need to have certain weather resistance, heat resistance and acid and alkali resistance, as tested by experiments.
